Pisagor milattan önce 570 495 yılları arasında yaşayan yunan filozof ve pisagorculuğun kurucusudur(Pythagoras is a Greek philosopher and the founder of pythagorenism who lived dec 570 to 495 BC)

Sisam adasındaki bir mücevher oymacısının oğludur(He is the son of a jewellery engraver on the island of Samos)

Kendisi bir tarikatın kurucusu olan pisagor politik ve dini öğretilerini daha çok magna garecia da yaymış ve önce platon ve aristonun felsefesini daha sonra da tüm batının felsefesini etkilemiştir(Pythagoras, himself the founder of a sect spread his political and religious teachings mostly in magna graecia and influenced first the philosophy of Platon and Aristo and then the philosophy of the entire West)

Dünyanın yuvarlak olduğunu iddia eden ilk bilim insanıdır(He is the first scientist to claim that the Earth is round)

Doğadaki her şeyin matematikle açıklanabileceğini savunmuştur ve en önemli teoremi de Pisagor Teoremi dir(He argued that everything in nature can be explained by mathematics and his most important theorem is the Pythagorean Theorem)

Pisagora göre 3 çeşit insan vardır(According to Pythagoras; there are 3 types of people):

1-Maddiyat peşinde koşanlar(Those who pursue materialism)

2-Şan şöhret peşinde koşanlar(Those who seek fame and glory)

3-Bilgi peşinde koşanlar(Those who seek information)

Ayrıca müziği de sayılarla açıklayabileceğini düşündü ve telli çalgılar üstünde araştırmalar yaptı sonuç olarak kısa telin uzun telden daha fazla ses çıkardığını söyledi(He also thought that he could explain music by numbers and he did research on stringed instruments, as a result he said that a short string make more sound than a long string)

Pisagorla birlikte felsefe ahlak konularıyla da ilgilenir hale gelmiştir(Along with Pythagoras, philosophy has also become interested in moral issues)

Pisagora göre ruh bu dünyada sürekli dolaşıyor ve her defasında farklı bir bedene giriyordu. Bu düşüncelerinden dolayı Pisagorcular et yemezdi bu yüzden 18.yy a kadar vejetaryen yerine pisagorian ifadesi kullanıldı.(According to Pythagoras, the soul was constantly moving around this world and entering different bodies each time.
